What are the companies that comprise HiRA’s? I’m looking for specific names, not names of newsletters.

A HiRA is a Healthcare investment Retirement Account. It’s apparently a term coined by a Rob Fannon. I believe these are trusts comprised of companies that apparently own real estate that is then leased to the “medical world”. I’d like to know the names of these companies. I’m going to guess that they are publically traded (I think they tend to be rather huge) or at least they are available to be purchased by the public (e.g. stock).

The companies have been identified as

Health Care Properties (HCP)
Health Care REIT (HCN)
Ventas (VTR)

There are also about a dozen small-cap funds in the role of Health Care REIT, which is what this is.

I’ve listed a good article below that analyzed HiRAs, what is and what isn’t hype. I’ve also listed a Fortune article that goes into the political risks that have hurt these funds lately.
