Which city is the best to make an investment for real estate?

I am looking for a place to invest in the states buying a property in the downtown or closer to downtown. Which city is the best?

If I want to make an investment in NYC and/or Boston which neighborhoods are good to invest with a little money?

I’m from NY. It’s very expensive and you will have a negative cash flow but the appreciation in value will be big. You are looking @ 2.5-3.5 million for a multi-family brownstone in the hot part of Brooklyn in Manhattan around 3 million + in the good area. You could buy a condo in NYC for 1 million and hold for 5-10 years. The problem is that you will be @ a loss every month if you didn’t put enough $$ down.
